  • Get a walking group together.  Friends, neighbours or work colleagues after work on on your lunchbreak.  If  you get a regular group it keeps you motivated and less likely to find an excuse not to do it.  Explore your local area and discover hidden gardens and lane ways right on your doorstep!
  • Use your furniture.  Use a coffee table to do tricep dips and cans from the pantry as weights.  You can balance up against the wall and door push ups from your front door step.  Your own personal gym!
  • Take the dog for a run! The family dog may also be in need of some fitness!  Its a motivator to get the dog out and exercised and we all know a dog is the perfect way to chat to other dog owners or friendly neighbours.  Maybe organise your own puppy group.
  • Swim! If your lucky enough to live near the beach go for a dip in the summer or a refreshing jog along the beach in the morning before work.  Watching the sunrise on the coast and feeling the sea breeze in your hair is a perfect way to set you up for the day!

The key to any fitness success is motivation and the determination to keep at it and keep positive!

Save Money on Repairs and Design

Interior Design (album)

Hiring professionals to perform work around your home is expensive. From basic repairs to interior design, most professionals charge large amounts per hour or per job. With the economy being rough right now, you may have to find other ways to get things done around your home. Instead of hiring someone to do the work for you, consider doing it yourself.

You may think that you are not handy enough to handle basic repairs or interior design. What you may not realize is that many things are easy to do with the right instructions. The internet is a great source of instruction for anything you can think to ask. From simple repairs around the house, like unclogging a drain, to redesigning an entire room, you can find the answer somewhere on the internet.

If you are on a limited budget, you need to learn how to do some basic things around your home. By taking the time to learn a few things on your own, you could end up saving thousands of dollars. If you are not comfortable doing something on your own, talk to your family and friends before contacting a professional. The point of a budget is to keep you from overspending. If someone you know can fix your leaky roof or paint your kitchen for a low price, you will still save money over hiring a professional.

Simple household repairs and interior design are not as complicated as you may think. If you can weld a few basic tools and follow instructions, you can repair small things around your house. If you can handle a paintbrush and have an eye for design, you can redecorate your home. Once you get your feet wet with a few home repairs, you will never want to hire a professional again. After all, why spend money on something you can easily do yourself?

Fashion Still Walks the Streets of Toronto

Fashion comes in more than just the fabric and textile industries, which provide cutting edge clothing but don’t fulfill other fashion based needs. Once you have your handmade chiffon scarves and eight-inch stiletto heels in hand, where you wear these items is as important as having them in the first place. That’s where the other side of fashion comes into play: that known as the display arena.

The arena is proving to be a strong replacement for a once bustling industry, creating its own mix of jobs and business with an innovative slant. Still, it’s possible to get your hands on unique items in the Fashion District, as the remaining manufacturers sell directly to customers. This not only keeps prices down – an essential ingredient in the ever-changing style based world – but also it creates a sense of long-lost intimacy between manufacturers and their end customers. Specialty orders and custom fits are easy to arrange, and perfectly suited customers are half of what makes fashion successful in the first place.

While much of Toronto’s textile industry may have been shifted to factories overseas, it’s the display arena that’s really moving, rising up to fill the void left by departed fashion based jobs. From kitschy accessories shops for both your person and your home, to the coolest of internationally based restaurants, there’s a multitude of hipster cool to be found in Toronto’s remaining fashion space.

Contacting Canada 411 is a great way to keep up on all the latest happenings, from the latest in Avanti guard theatrical performances to the best new cafe openings. Specialty shops and beautiful walking venues such as those in Little Poland or the Paper Village display wares based on diverse cultures are de rigueur in the fashion district, as are fashionistas strolling the sidewalks. This area still maintains its distinctive charm and far forward fashion appeal.

Take Good Care of Your Skin in Your Youth

Beauty habits can make a big difference in how you look at age 30, 40, 50, and 60. Women in their twenties do not realize how much their beauty routine will make a difference later in life. Oftentimes, younger women take it for granted that they will always have that youthful appearance.

Establish a Beauty Routine

Unfortunately, this is simply not the case, so it is important to establish a beauty regimen that will pay nice dividends later in life. The neck is one area of the body that women neglect. They do not realize that this area is highly sensitive, and this area can sustain much wear and tear.

Pay Attention to Sensitive Neck Areas

The skin on the neck is thinner than the skin on the face, and it contains different levels of collagen. Collagen is important in maintaining a youthful appearance. The chest and neck are subjected to much sun exposure; thus, you have to take care to pay attention to these areas. It is important to use a sun block that has enough protection for your neck, face, and chest.

Some prescription level drugs are as follows: Retin-A, and Renova. Both of these medications can provide excellent protection against sun damage. They can repair already damaged skin. The skin is highly sensitive, and it is important to take good care of it.

In conclusion, your youthful good looks can be preserved by paying attention to your skin care routine. The sun is harsh on unprotected skin, and there are risks of skin cancer. Wearing a large hat can shade your face from the sun. In addition, tanning beds have their own risks also. It is important to limit your tanning bed exposure. You can get cancer from this artificial tanning system also.

You must give your skin the loving attention that it deserves. It is the largest organ on your body. It is the most susceptible to environmental factors. Following a few techniques can save your skin from extensive damage.

Preparing healthy food for your family during the week can be quite a challenge. Your time is limited, and you have a family that balks at healthier choices. The temptation to prepare separate meals for picky eaters is a temptation; however, this is not a good idea.

You Can Coax Them into Eating Healthier

It is possible to slowly ease your family into healthier options. One way to accomplish this is to incorporate something that they really like into the dish. A colorful and fun presentation of the food can also be a way to gain more cooperation during meal time.

Time Saving Techniques to Cut Meal Prep Time

Home cooks can use a variety of methods to make food preparation easier. One technique is preparing several meats. Rather than cooking one meat for dinner each weekday, you can spend a day cooking multiple meats and vegetables. This is truly a time saver.

Grilled chicken, beef, and tofu will all keep in a refrigerator during the week. Cook the vegetables lightly, and then they can be used in a stir-fry during the week. They can also be used in soups, salads, and as a topping for pasta dishes. The possibilities are plentiful.

A well stocked refrigerator and pantry should include chopped onions, ginger, and garlic. A homemade green pesto sauce is also quite handy to keep in the ice box.

Mix and Match Food Combinations with Takeout

If you open your mind to new possibilities, you can even combine leftover takeout with ingredients at home. The combinations can be quite delicious. Simply using a few of these time saving ideas can make your time in the kitchen much more pleasant, and you can still keep yourself and family on a great diet plan.

The key to easy meals during the week is advance planning. A few minutes of planning and preparation can make your week go smoothly. That equals less stress for you, and it gives you more time to spend with your loved ones.
